Ono is one of the main characters of the show, The Lion Guard. He serves as the keenest of sight in the lion guard. His name means "Passion" in Swahili language. He is the first member of the guard that is not a mammal.

Ono has been described as an intellectual egret and is very knowledgable about the world around him. As the keenest of sight, he is very alert to his surroundings and is always the first one to see danger and inform the guard. Ono can be a bit anxious at times and sometimes insecure but with the help of his freinds he can be confident and brave when he needs to.

He is somewhat of a workaholic and even when he is injured he still thinks he can serve in the guard even though he can't. Despite being snarky and blunt Ono is a very patient and optimistic friend who respects the Circle of Life as much as his friends do.

Ono is a narrowly built bird with a very skinny pair of black legs that are striped with orange, which lead to a pair of orange claws. The end of each claw also has a black spot. His upper body is compact, with pure white feathers across the main part of his body. Some pale orange and yellow feathers reach into the end of his wings and form a band around his neck.

He has a long, orange pointy beak and a purple circles across his large eyes. His eyelids are a slightly more bluish shade. Atop his head, he sports a crest of five feathers of differing lengths, starting off with a light yellow at the bases and transitioning to a slightly dark tangerine orange near the tips.
